DEEP DIVE DUBAI

Venture into the depths of the World's Deepest Pool and discover a stunning underwater attraction that is themed to resemble an abandoned sunken city. Inspired by the UAE's own pearl-diving heritage, seasoned divers and newbies can submerge themselves in one of the world's most brilliant experiences. It is the only diving facility in the world where you can dive to depths of 60m, which is 15m deeper and four times bigger than any other diving pool in the world.

This extraordinary indoor pool is filled with 14 million litres of freshwater, the equivalent of six Olympic-sized swimming pools. Water is kept at 30°C to create the perfect conditions for diving, and is circulated through filters every six hours to maintain the highest standards of safety and hygiene. For those who want to stay dry, you can watch family and friends dive through multiple screens and large windows across the facility.

GROUNDBREAKING

The journey to dig a 60m hole in the desert was filled with unique challenges, demanding innovation and ingenuity. Construction teams overcame many obstacles, including groundwater seepage from 6m onwards.

NOT A POOL

The interior design, featuring a sunken city theme, was chosen to create a dynamic and engaging environment. This unique, hand-crafted concept required hundreds of workers to theme every square metre.

CONSTRUCTION

The construction of the facility, from the initial excavation to the completion of the roof, spanned four years and numerous adjustments. More than 100 underwater lights, 30 cameras, and 12 speakers were connected to 15km of electrical and communications cabling painstakingly run throughout the vast underwater city.

ABOVE AND BELOW

The pool is mostly concealed beneath the earth, with only two stories visible above ground, creating a unique and iconic architectural structure. The top 20m is viewable from a series of 12 large windows, allowing non-divers to share in the unique underwater adventure.

URBAN ATLANTIS

The submerged city boasts cars, motorbikes, fire ladders, park benches, and phone booths, as well as an apartment with a kitchen, bedroom, and living room.

ICONIC

The building's iconic exterior architectural design, with a roof resembling an oyster shell, pays tribute to the UAE's rich pearl diving history.
